Mobile Transportation & Delivery

The fact that most transportation services are spread out throughout the city and county makes accessing services even more difficult. Unfortunately, access to transportation to get to various community agencies for service is very limited for those in need. We are here to help you get the support you need.

We provide transportation for:

  • Those at risk of becoming homeless
  • Those living in the homeless shelters
  • Those who are home bound due to medical needs or disabilities.

We support:

  • Veterans
  • Low-income families
  • Individuals
  • Seniors

we are in the community bringing resources such as donated clothing, shoes, and socks, backpacks for the children, school supplies, coats, hard to get underwear and hard to get necessities to those in need.

The services our Mobile Outreach Team operate on four levels:

  • One — The team delivers to our homeless neighbor’s basic needs, providing bagged lunches and snacks, bottles of water, hygiene kits, rain gear, and other supplies they need to stay as safe and healthy as possible.

  • Two — Provides transportation to assist our neighbors living in homeless shelters and motel to various events such as housing appointments, jobs, doctor appointments and other such appointments.

  • Three — Deliver food to our most vulnerable neighbor, home bound seniors and to those who are disabled and unable to leave their homes.

  • Four — Delivery of Emergency Food Provisions: Residents seeking emergency food. Mobile Outreach teams are dispatched to deliver an Emergency Food Box. The Mobile Outreach Team interviews the client to determine more appropriate long-term supplemental food resources, such as food pantries, referral to Senior Services Home Delivered Meals program, etc.

Angels On Wheels Charity Organization have partner with Thurman Brisben Homeless Shelter providing transportation for our homeless neighbors to various events such as housing appointments, jobs, doctors’ appointments and other such appointments.

The Mobile Outreach Support Team may be asked to dispatch across the city to canvass for homeless clients and transport to shelters and other places.

The Mobile Outreach Support Team – Mass Care Operations: May be asked to support the City’s efforts related to Mass Care Coordination, which may include but is not limited to mass relocation of impacted residents to temporary emergency shelters operated by the Red Cross
